360 Degree Feedback
Press Release:
Imagine that you lived on your own in the world and you were the only person to give you feedback. It would be a bit of a lonely life and you wouldn't learn much. The fact is that the only real way to assess your emotional intelligence is to get feedback from people who know you and the way you interact. Developing the emotional intelligence of your workforce is good for business. It's the vital quality that underpins good teamwork, good industrial relations and makes the difference between having an inspired workforce and an average one. Just imagine a contented workforce which ran smoothly and efficiently with a minimum of fuss. using 360-degree feedback as part of your appraisal and development process you can bring some serious benefits to both your business and your people. People gain much better self awareness by learning how their colleagues perceive them . People generally like 360 degree feedback. They take things less personally and are more likely to take on board what's been said. It helps people understand how their behaviour influences both their own personal effectiveness and how they impact the smooth running of the organisation. It improves communication within the organisation and encourages a more open culture where giving and receiving constructive feedback is the norm. It is a very powerful driver for change both for individuals and organisations as a whole. The Appraisal360 system has no setup costs and is targeted at Employers, HR Professionals and Individuals More information at: http://www.appraisal360.co.uk/Emotional-Intelligence-Homepage-66

Farewell By An Athlete
Recently another farewell took place which is related to cricket. The Pakistani Cricket team’s captain Injamam Ul Haque said good bye to the international cricket. This was his last game in his career which he played against Zimbabwe. When he was walking out of the pitch the whole stadium stood up and applauded and the opponents too shook their hands. On the way back to the pavilion Inji himself was wiping tears down his cheeks. This scene was very sad. Everyone has to do it this day or the other but that very moment is really very hard to get over.
Bitter is Bye-Bye rather than Hello And Hi.

Classical Music
I always keep on exploring several genres of music. The last one I tried was the Classical Masterpiece Collection of the great legends in classical music. The Collection had all the great names like Mozart, Chopin, Beethoven, Schubert, Vivaldi and many more. I haven’t heard all of them yet however I listened to Antonio Vivaldi. Wow man it is so great and the melody suited my flavor. The album has many pieces and I like the one called “Alegro” of the spring section which comes in the four seasons category. Isn’t it wonderful of anyone to pour his or her feeling through music and without lyrics. Before going to bed put off the lights and listen to Antonio Vivaldi, you reach nirvana. This habit of listening to Vivaldi has partially diverted my taste to orchestra music. They have got the melody, timings, feelings and possibly everything. This is a must for every music lovers.

One Day Remains By Alter Bridge
Being a Creed fan I have always like the way Mark Tremonti’s guitar playing style. I followed him to Alter Bridge. The debut album of Alter Bridge “One Day Remains” is very nice indeed with all the touch of creed in constant. Their styles are of the same as they used to be and the new vocalist has done his job very impressively. The one that I liked the most in the album is “Open Your Eyes”. It has got the melody and the heaviness. The title song called “One Day Remains” did not catch my attention but the rest is good. Metalingus, Find the real, Down to my last are very good. I just can’t explain how much I love Mark’s playing style. Each and every note he plays I find it great. All in all the album got me on my knees and its worth listening time and time again.

Bringing Back To Life
In ancient times Siddhartha Gautam had a lot of disciples and spent most of the time with his devotees meditating. All the villagers were angry at him more over they were confused with all their kids going to Buddha and meditating and serving him instead of helping their parents. One day a woman came crying to Lord Buddha and started shouting at him abruptly. Her son had died and was in grief as she loved her son so much. She told Lord Buddha that he called himself a saint and now she wanted her child back. This is beyond a human’s capability. On this, Lord Buddha just smiled at her and told her to go and find a house where no one had died ever. If she could come up to him with such a house Lord Buddha would bring her child back to life. So to get her child back she went to each and every house of the village and enquiring them if anyone had died. No such house could be found. Still she moved forward one after another just in vain. After searching for such kind of house she finally realized that death is inevitable. Everyone has to die this day or the other. She felt ashamed for what she demanded. She then went back to Lord Buddha and apologized. From then she also became his disciple. The bottom line of the story is that Lord Buddha did not have any kinds of supernatural powers. He had learnt what life is and there is no such miracles bringing a dead body into life. He was a learned and wise man. In fact Lord Buddha is God.

Maximum Retail Price
Every manufacturer or stockiest analyses the cost of a unit and determine the maximum retail price. The cost includes the cost of raw materials, carriages, taxes, commission and wages. The total of these costs is then added to a certain profit margin which the producers want to earn. Thus a maximum retail price is determined. In a market like Nepal where the general consumers are unaware of MRP, gets cheated. Same product of the same brand has different price labels tagged in different shopping malls which make the consumers more confused, and sometimes the price of certain products can go beyond the MRP. In developed countries the final consumers are obliged to compare between two brands regarding the maximum retail price whereas in our market people have to compare the maximum retail price of the same product of the same brand and made.
In underdeveloped countries new product is launched or imported and given to distributors or dealers to sell them in the market. Some of the products have a high gap between the maximum retail price and the dealer’s price and some have a very small gap. If the gap is very small then the consumers are benefited and vice versa. Dealer’s price is that price which is given to the distributors or the stockiest or dealers by the manufacturing companies. Here in Nepal most of the final consumers are always cheated because there are very less manufacturing companies and everything has to be imported. The importer gets the maximum out of it.

Songs That Energizes Me
Being a music lover I savor each and every kinds of music. Music creates and generates some kind of energy in me perhaps it does to everyone. The numbers which comes into my list of songs which energizes me is “Can’t stop loving you” by Van Halen, “Hey Jude” by “The Beatles”. Every morning when I am getting dressed, I listen to Van Halen’s can’t stop loving you and this song literally makes me leap. Everyone knows what kind of musician is Eddie Van Halen. As I have heard in one of the compliments by another great musician is that you give him a guitar having two rusty strings and listen to him playing. The second song which energizes me is Hey Jude by the Beatles. This song has a soft starting and ends up in a very heavy style. All the frustrations are poured in the final stages of the song. Not only this but the song also has a nice moral I guess. Don’t carry the world upon your shoulder, you were meant to go out and get her, these phrases are quite inspiring. The Beatles still rule on this day. Naaaa naaa naaa na na na hey Jude

Thai Movie
The trend of movie making has always been changing. In my olden days there used to be war movies which everyone fancied, then the kung fu movies, ghost movies and recently they have gone above human imagination through sci-fi effects. These sci-fi movies are hard to understand and have to be watched several times to get to its story. As far as my taste goes I like movies of street fights. Lately the Thai movies have been creating revolution in such trends. The fight choreography is very nice and real. The movies like “Ong Bak” and “Tom Yung Gook” are really interesting to watch. However the story is not that fascinating, the fights are good. I enjoyed each and every fight scenes in those movies as I love watching kick boxing more than anything. The actors do not match the character they play but who cares until the fights are more than good. We saw Bruce Lee, Jackie Chang, Van Dame, Jet Lee and now the successor is the Thai fighter. If only the leading actor had been good in acting in addition to his fighting skills he would be eyed upon by Hollywood big shots. As we know what can Hollywood do such actors. They take those kinds of people to the extreme. I see a nice scope for those kinds of Thai movies in the future and will long to see such movies.
