higest one day record

The final game between South Africa and Australia. Of the best of five series both of them had two wins each. I don't remember the toss but it was Australia batting first. More than 150 runs scored by the skipper Ponting helped them post a huge total of 434 runs the world record. Every other batsmen contributed well. The south africans now needed 435 runs to win which was just out of reach perhaps we should we say. The world record of highest number of runs in a one day cricket. Before the africans came to chase the mighty total I could make out another record being made. The africans would come out and try to play big shots and somehow end up loosing wickets and loose the match by the highest margin. I did not like watching the second half as I thought my favorite team would loose. Later when I watched the match when the africans were halfway to the total I was shoked. I couldn't miss anymore of the action. Graeme Smith butchered the australian bowlers and so did Herschelle Gibbs. The match was poised the either way. Wickets kept falling though the target seemed to be reachable. Chasing 434 runs in an ODI is not a joke. Now the africans crossed the 400 mark for the first time chasing with limited overs and wicket remaining. I prayed to god saying these africans have come so close please god let them win. Probably god heard me and they reached the total with one or two balls to spare. Wow there were tears all over the stadium. Me too did shed a tear in joy. I really felt sorry for the australians but there is no word to console their loss. No matter what, one has to loose and it was not indeed south africans day. Several records were made in that match. Most number of runs scored, most number of sixes hit, largest target chased, highest number of runs conceeded in a ten over spell and so on.

man u in the cl final

It was 1999 Manchester United reached the Champions League Final. They were against the Mighty german Bayern Munich. David Beckham, Andy Cole, Dwight Yorke, Roy Keane the skipper, Baby face Ole Gunnar Solksjar, Paul Scholes, Jap Stam the wall and the Magnet Peter Shumichael. The Champions were one down untill the last three minutes of injury time they scored a goal. The game was levelled. Just in the end of the injury time babyface scored the winning goal only to leave the germans jaws wide open cause there was no time for equallizing and pressing it to the additional period. After the last whistle Bayern's keeper Oliver Kahn was seen to be crying and how could he stop doing so when the game was almost in their pocket. In between the game man u goal keeper peter made a real nice save when the ball was almost headed inside the net. That was the turning point of manchester united's victory i assume. The game was ranked among the top games of the century. If someone missed it they really missed a real great game.

So Called Singers

In our music industry there are so many new bands forming and none of them are worth listening however there are some in exception. Three or four guys get together and form a band and go to a studio, record a song, pass it to the media and make requests for their own songs to be aired and thus get popular. Meaningless lyrics and some kind of already heard or some very familiar melody is put in their music. It is even easier for rich guys to form a band and get popularity. Go to a studio, there are a number of musicians who will compose a melody, do all the programming and gets paid because this is what they can do to exist. To become a good singer you just need a tight wallet. The way they play instruments in the videos is so shameful. I can guarantee most of the guitarists or drummers don’t know what they are doing and how they are doing. Once in a music institute I happened to meet a guy who just came in through and said “My brothers are forming a band, they don’t have a bassist so I want to learn bass within one month. It’s urgent”. Can you guys dig it? I have come to know about a band whose name I don’t want to disclose. They had a live concert scheduled at Pokhara and every members of the band were really nervous about playing their hit single because they just didn’t know how to play the solos. Somehow they managed to perform.. In their video we can see them playing solos and wearing some cool outfits. I remember the other one too. They are a band and did a song which was ditto to the song one love of Blue a boy band. In an interview they said they just stole the music. They literally said they stole not even the word copied. They also said that they did not get any kind of support from the music companies. Thanks to those music companies. So what they did was register their own company and started producing their album. Once again thanks for the host who was running the program as she told them “Your song is totally stolen and no music company promoted your album so you established your own company, now no air stations will play your songs so start your own radio station and finally there will be no listeners for your song so you enjoy your songs yourself played in your own station, all the best”. What a good option for them, infact the best. Hope someday this would change and real talented bands get the popularity they needed rather than those band who are simply not band.

"The Outsiders" movie review my favorite

The film starts with a small teen aged neighourhood. They look very happy enjoying their day. Two classes of teen aged young blood are shown. One, the really teen and the other a bit elder than them. The guys are tough brute however they are into building a better society as we can see them chasing small kids who are caught up playing cards. After a movie in a park they get busted by a gang from the opposite neighourhood. Two of the smaller guys get into trouble and end up in a run and chase battle. Finally the guys get caught up and get heavy and nasty beating. In order to survive one of the heroes pulls out a knife and kills one of their anti gangs
member. Then the problem starts. They go out of the city to hide. On one of their drive returning home they see a church burning. They stop the car and rush into the burning church to help free everyone. The smaller guy gets hurt and gets hospitalised. While he remains in the hospital the remaining friends prepare for a final showdown with the antis. They all really get pumped up and excited for the final brawl. They fight and eventually win the battle by chasing them away from their neighourhood. Meanwhile the one in the hospital dies. The most senior among them ends up shooting at cops and end his life in frustration. This is how the film ends. It's a really nice and interesting movie to watch.

Watching Sports In A TV Or A Stadium

Watching every sports live in a television is more beneficial than going to the stadium. We can hear comments, watch the replays and get every single action without missing any of them. Whereas, in a stadium you might miss, a decisive goal scored by a team within a blink of an eye. There are big monitors stranded along the ground in some parts of the world which is not so familiar in the developing countries like ours, so that some replays could be seen but it’s not worth turning your head to the opposite and see what happened. On the contrary to this, watching live games in a stadium is more exciting than sitting in front of a TV set. You get to cheer for your team and you can be a commenter for yourself, be a coach or whatever possible. You can shout at your favored team who is performing against your instinct and predictions. Jumping high in joy, hugging the one next to you even if you don’t know the person when your team gets the better of the other is what you can do in a stadium. What about the half time or the intervals in-between the games. When you are in the stadium there is no helping it. In front of a TV set you can switch on to other channels so that each and every single precious moment of yours doesn’t go waste.

People I Admire The Most

The name which comes at the top of my list of people whom I admire the most is Oprah Winfrey. I define her as a saint. The way she brings tears of joy in my eyes is indefinable. I have seen many series of her talk show “Oprah Winfrey Show”, I just can’t forget any of them which I have managed to view so far or help myself from sobbing. One time richest woman on the planet she is more than just showing off what she possess. Whatever she does, she does it for humanity.

The second name in my list is Amy Lee the latest vocalist of Evanescence. In one of the news I head that she loves to show her talent and not her body which most female singers do to gain publicity. Yes indeed if you are a female singer you got to sing not dance around naked and attract people and follow a cheap trick.

The third name is Jharana Bajracharya. She is a former Miss Nepal. I was impressed when I happened to watch an interview in a TV program There were a lot of scandals about her role is some hindi movie. There I found out how bold she is. She did what she felt is right. The answers she gave to some ridiculous and conservative questions were so very full of confidence and worth a slap right in the face of the interviewer.

Dignity

We are born in the land of Lord Gautam Buddha and the place of Mount Everest the highest peak in the world. This is what we have been saying with full pride while introducing ourselves to the outsiders or foreigners. It’s really been very long since we have been boasting ourselves of Lord Buddha or Everest. Aren’t we all interested in making our own and new style of introduction rather than all those old facts. The Chinese have been known to the world as the most hardworking people on the planet. And now they are called the sleeping lion of the world. All the strongest and bullying countries are afraid of them to go against them. They probably are the largest manufacturer of the latest gadgets in the world. Not only China we can learn and gain from others too. So let’s just give up our traditional way of calling ourselves the way we used to do and look for a better and a new one.
