Whitewashed Australia
Australia has been clean swept by the New Zealand with a three nil loss. The first of the three one day internationals was won by the New Zealand by ten wickets which might be called an embarrassing loss for the Australians, in the second match the Australians posted a huge total of 326 runs and were unable to defend it, the third and the final was also won by the New Zealand team chasing a mighty total of 346 runs. This white wash against Australia has come in a long time. Just before this series they lost to England in the Commonwealth series which also featured New Zealand. Now the reigning champions losing streak stretches to seven consecutive games. The world cup is just around the corner and their morale has been totally devastated. The Australians have dropped down in the cricket ranking as well. It had been a very long time since the world champions Australians were enjoying the number one spot. After this victory the New Zealand team’s spirit has boomed and will probably help them in the world cup 2007. Nevertheless Australia is a very good team and the strongest of contenders who would lift the world cup and cannot be taken light regarding the past performances as the skipper Ricky Ponting, Andrew Symonds, regular wicket keeper Adam Gilchrist, Bret Lee and Michael Clarke were not available for this series.

Zidane’s head
It was in the 1998 world cup final when Zidane’s head brought French home the glory. The Brazilians as always the strongest contender to win the tournament faced the underdog of the FIFA ranking France. Two goals both of them headed by Zidane became the breakthrough until in the final minutes Petit scored one and assured the victory. Probably more than half the population on the earth had not thought of this kind of result. Brazil the name itself suggests who could be the winner until Zidane’s head. The reigning champions dream of becoming a winner again was totally shattered by Zidane’ s head.
Again in the 2006 world cup final it was France facing their neighbor Italy. France got an early lead before Italy’s defender Matarazzi equalized the game. Zidane had a huge responsibility on him as he was a captain and the one who brought home the glory in 1998. It was again Zidane’s head which bumped against Matarazzi’s chest intentionally and had himself sent off. This moment could be regarded as the turning point of the game. The ten men team though defended very well but eventually lost on the penalty shootout. The cup was then held by the Italians. Had not Zidane been sent off we could possibly had some other result as the French team had to stress more on defending than offending. As a playmaker Zidane was missed just because of the same head which made them a winner in 1998.

Big Names In Sports
Tiger Woods in golf also had his dominant character. There was no competitor against him and there were many titles won by him in his extreme success. There were very few names as popular as his in the Tiger Woods era. He would win all the major tournaments.
Michael Shumaker of Germany and Valentino Rossi, they both had monopoly in the events of formula 1 racing and the moto gp racing respectively. They would always be on the front cover of every possible newspaper with trophies in their hand, the day after their victory.
The William Sisters also dominated the tennis world at some times. They both were on the peak and win every grand slams. The winner would either be Serena or Venus. Sometimes they even faced each other at the major finals.

Rob Thomas previously the vocalist of Matchbox 20
Matchbox 20 used to be a great band. The vocalist “Rob Thomas” has gone insane I guess. I just happened to see his latest video on the VH1 which is a kind of pop or R&B. Though both these categories are very important in the music I personally don’t like a thing about them. I am into rock so Rob Thomas’ new style completely sucks. In the initial carrier he sang with the great legend “Carlos Santana” called smooth. Wow this song is great as there is Santana playing all the counters and as we all know how his melody sounds. After that, Matchox 20 was simply a great band. The numbers like “Unwell”, “When you're gone”, “Bent”, “Disease” were very nice and pleasing indeed. There is no doubt that every singers or musicians try and experiment different things regarding their style of music but changing from a rock artist to some kind of boy band type is ridiculous I guess specially for all those rock fans out there. Experimentation done by Alanis Morisette can be regarded as the best of all experiments in one of her song which I don’t know the name but it has got no instruments but only vocals. This was great. The one which Rob Thomas has done is a total crap

Wirefly Prepaid Plans
Pre-paid cell phones are better than any other kinds. The talk time as required can be taken according to what the company has to offer. The cost is charged on the time basis and no nominal charge is applicable. It is an easy access to all those who can't afford to pay monthly. It is good because one doesn't have to worry about large bills at the end of the month. If the period or the talk time finishes then it has to be recharged and if doesn't then the talk time is always there, whereas in other categories one has to pay certain nominal charges whether the facility is consumed or not. Other kinds of plans need a certain monthly charge and have a contract but if you have a pre-paid cell phones, you do not.One can use the talk time of the nominal charge and beyond that extra cost will be charged according to the duration or talk time used. Reincarnation Of Some Bands
The band “Rage Against The Machines” broke up and the three members excluding the vocalist “Jack Dela Rocha” they formed “Audioslave” bringing in Criss Cornell who was previously in the band called “Soundgarden”. They are doing so far so good. They have released some hit songs like “Cochise”, “The Highway”, “Be Yourself” and “Like A Stone” to name a few. The vocalist Criss has a strong vocal and the electric guitars by “Tom Morello” are electrifying as usual. Listening to them is a real fun.
Velvet Revolver a new band formed by fusing two great bands called “Guns N’ Roses” and the “
Stone Temple Pilots”. Slash is there with Matt Sorum and Duff and the vocalist comes from the stone temple pilots. They haven’t been such a success as they have just released a single album. They are really a new band as the music they play is a mixture or stone temple pilots which is kind of alternative and pure guns n roses style that is heavy metal. They aren’t catchy, though the mixture of alternative and heavy metal is good enough for a rock music lover.
The television series of a new band called “Supernova” can also be included in the list. They are a bunch of good musicians or more than that, rockers. “Tommy Lee” from “Motely Crew”, “Jason Newstead” from “Metallica” and “Gilby Clarke” from “Guns N’ Roses”. One can guess what’s next when such big names gather and play pure rock. The did an audition to select a vocalist and the selected one was Lucas from Canada, and this vocalist rocks. In one of the audition he played his own version of Bonjovi’s hit called “Living On A Prayer” and that was really awesome. The runner up “Dilana” was also very suitable but Supernova did not want “Ace Of Base” kinda band and they needed a male vocalist for their band.

Tea
The world’s best and highly preferred beverage or refreshment is tea. It is a non-alcoholic, simple, pure and refreshing hot drink. Every possible nepali starts off the day with a cup of tea It can go with anything like snacks, lunch or even dinner sometimes. People are generally welcomed by a cup of tea in our Nepalese society. Tea is the simplest, most affordable drink. Easy to prepare though it also has got a lot of flavors like black tea which is without milk, salty tea which is usually consumed by sugar patients, ghee tea which is a tradition of the people of the Himalayas, lemon tea and ginger tea to name a few. At times too much consumption of tea might cause a health hazard but as we know too much potion can be poisonous so tea can also be regarded as a hygienic drink however people suffering from gastric flu should not practice the habit of drinking tea. Coffee is the only option for those who are not into drinking tea yet tea is the best. Tea is also one of the leading cash crops in a place like ours where more than fifty percent of the total population is engaged in agriculture. It is exported to many foreign countries which possibly hold a strong portion of the export goods from Nepal. Tea grows in the hilly sides which need more chill than other cultivable plants and a lot of irrigation. Illam is the main place for cultivating and producing tea which lies in the eastern most part of Nepal. Probably no analysis can be done as to find how much tea is consumed in a day in the world. It is good or even the best of all beverages so why not go and enjoy it.

Weathered By The Creed
In a short span of Creed’s existence they released three albums. “My Own Prison”, “Human Clay” and “Weathered”. All the albums are quite good but the best and the most successful among them is the latest one “Weathered”. There are number of songs which got popularity from the very beginning. ‘One last breathe’ has a very melodic intro with powerful riffs accompanying the chorus. My Sacrifice is the biggest hit of the album. With arms wide open has also been added in the album which had already been released in previous album. The song higher is aired in the TEN Sports as a background for a sports clip. Lullaby is a real lullaby with soft vocal and soft yet melodious guitar works which does not show frustration or anger. Stand here with me is yet another powerful song in the album. The album has been a platinum album and is worth listening to it. Mark Tremonti has the ability to mix melody and power in guitar playing. Scott Stap’ s vocal sounds and suits the album but he is not a good vocalist as I have heard. He is a studio singer and cannot perform live the way audience expects him to. Who cares unless you have the album and listen to it time and time again as they won’t be performing here live in Nepal under any circumstances.
