NBA Dunk Competition 2007

The dunk competition is held every year in the US. It has become one of the most talked about and watched events in the whole world who loves basketball. The deal is really simple. People from all over the world would get to vote for one of their favorite players and get him in the nomination list. There were four finalists and after two rounds it was down to just two who were Nate Robinson from the New York Knicks, the reigning champion who is probably the shortest player ever to participate in the competition, against one of the most talented player Gerald Green from Boston Celtics. Nate Robinson having scored fewer points in the previous rounds had the opportunity to show his dunk, first. Inspite of his height the dunks were fabulous until in the final round he messed up. The dunk he was trying to make would have been a very nice one but he missed three times before he finally made it. It was a very sad moment when he was missing his attempts. Even his competitor was inspiring him to finish his dunk. Wow man that was a real sportsmanship I have ever seen. Then came Gerald Green and dunked over a table just in front of the hoop which he completed in the first go. It was also one the best dunks. This made him the winner of the NBA dunk competition 2007. Vince Carter, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant were among the judges panel. The NBA now has a new dunk champion however Nate Robinson will also be remembered for a long time in the history of dunk competition.
