Running Away From Love

This is a story of a friend of mine.

He had a crush on a girl and he approached her like a friend and he did not propose her to be his love. He wanted to get her in whatever means so he started it with a friendly relation. They became close friends and they would share everything. My friend was quite happy about the relation they had for years. After a long period of their friendship she called him and told him that she is in love with someone else. As their friendship was flourishing he did not find it necessary to express his love to her after all they were good friends and they used to hang out and visit new places together. And now that his love was in jeopardy as his crush would not be his love but only a friend and will not be his wife in the future. She is in love with some other guy and probably would marry him. Here he asked himself that does he really need to make a girl he loved so much to be his wife. Or just being a good friend life long is enough? Is he her worth? Was he late in expressing his love? On these questions he was able to solve the second one so he gave up his love and decided to continue their relation as a friend. Having her as a friend for the rest of his life was enough for him. Perhaps he did not have that killer love instinct and he was running away from love.
