BP The Pros And Cons

The installation of big plants in any part of the world has become a concern as people in the world has learned a lot regarding the safe and sound living and keeping the planet alive. Especially when it comes to the matter of setting up a petroleum the pros and cons take a serious part. The recent news about BP refinery in Whiting, Indiana has raised some serious issues. It is undeniable that oil is necessary but we can't compromise with the hazards that occur in the surrounding environment. However the BP Factory has fulfilled all the requisites from the Indiana Department of Environmental Management and the U.S. and such can be found at the BP Whiting Refinery Fact Sheet. Environmental Protection Agency and has received permission to set up the plant. The good part about this BP project is that whatever released from this refinery is treated water which is more than 99.9 % water and such water is discharged into Lake Michigan. The sludge it releases are never discharged into Lake Michigan and is treated separately. The oil that BP produces or refines are brought from Canada and not the Mideast which makes it more economical and as the Mideast had been eyed upon by big developed nations like India and China. So if India and China grabs the whole of the Mideast oil then how could the consumption of oil in the US be supplied consistently. All in all if the BP Factory has cleared all the necessary rules it is ok to be installed. The jobs it provides, the development it brings, the production of oil that fulfills the total demand etc. are good and can be counted upon those good things unless it has not crossed the line regarding the safeness of the people in an around the Lake Michigan.
