Manakamana

Manakamana lies in the Gorkha district of Nepal and is only 300 kms away from the valley. It is the most devoted pilgrimages of Nepal and people from all over Nepal visit manakamana to pay their homage. Manakamana’s literally means the wish which comes from your soul. It is believed that if you pray to Manakamana with a very clean heart, then you will be granted with your wish. That is why hindu people have full faith on Manakamana. It is a temple situated at the top of a hill which is three to four hours walk from the highway. It is a steep hill and before the cable car was installed it was a bit hard task. Now there is a cable car which takes just 15 minutes or so to reach the top and to the temple. There are a lot of hotels and bars as well to chill out though Manakamana is not meant to be a chilling hangout. There is no need to worry about lodging and the price is not expensive to stay. It is a must visit place of Nepal. There are many sales counters in the city which provides you with full up and down packages which includes the cable car fare, the bus, van or vehicle fare to Kuringtaar the base station of Manakamana, pick up and drop from your home or place where you are staying. This has made every devotee very simple to visit Manakamana and more precisely these services have made old aged people to reach Manakamana.
