This Is Where I Belong

In the middle of a beautiful green hill there lies a big flat ground where the one and only high school of the village is situated. The school’s buildings are one storied blocks with a typical nepali style. The blocks are on the edge of that big flat ground. In the middle of that ground there are two poles which the villagers use it to tie a net and play volleyball. When you look around the ground you see typical nepali houses scattered in the barren terraces with firewood smoke coming out from them. There are bamboo trees on one side of the ground with a very big peepal tree on the other. Herd of cattle could also be seen gazing on the greens of the ground. When you look beyond the school’s building you see dark green jungle and hear all the pleasant sound of insects as well as the birds. Unlike city areas where you hear vehicles zooming and blowing of their horns we hear birds chirping here. A ten minutes walk or so from the school the jungle begins and a brook flows through it. The water is so clear and you can actually see the pebbles lying underneath the ditches and people drink this water. In between this brook and the school there lies my house where I belong.
