Shrinking Cricket

Cricket happens to be one of the most viewed and enjoyed outdoor sports. The popularity of cricket is rising however it can't beat football. In olden days cricket used to be played sixty overs a side. One can imagine the length of the game when both the teams bat or bowl full sixty overs each. Later the game was improvised and was reduced to fifty overs a side game. This new feature had a lot of advantages than the earlier form of the game. When ten overs were reduced the length of the game shortened and it was good for everyone. This fifty overs a side has been there for quite a long time until recently the cricket teams have started playing twenty-twenty which means twenty overs to be bowled or batted by each teams. This has really reduced more than fifty percent of the fifty overs match. Now people can watch a cricket game which is very short unlike the fifty overs match and this will one day completely relegate the fifty overs match. This shows that the game is shrinking as the days progresses. Who knows the game might one day be just finished by a toss. Who won the toss would win the match and need not to be played. This is weird and this is for sure to happen. Bring out the best eleven players and come out on the field and simply toss a coin and determine the winner. Hehe
